01 — The Problem
Parents stand on curbs refreshing nothing. Office phones ring with “where’s the bus?” calls. Drivers communicate through a chain of three people. A delay travels by rumor.
The bus already knows where it is. It has a GPS, a driver, a route, a roster, a schedule. None of that information reaches the people who need it most. NextStop closes that loop.

The Command Center is what the front desk leaves open all day. Active routes, on-time performance, and the live position of every bus — without a phone call.

04 — How it works
Students, routes, and parent emails arrive in NextStop the way they already live in your SIS. Verified, scoped to school, ready in an afternoon.
Parents already on file get an invite to the app. We match against records you provide — no sign-up codes, no open registration, no guessing.
The first morning the driver taps Start, parents see the bus on the map. The phone calls to the office stop the same week.
05 — Security & Privacy
NextStop runs on a closed enrollment model. Access to a child’s location is derived from a parent-student relationship the school confirms — not from an open token, not from a sign-up code. Every architectural decision was made with FERPA, district policy, and student safety in mind.

Parents are matched against records the school provides. No public signup.
FERPA-aligned
Data access is scoped to the parent–student relationship, not the org.
SOC 2 Type II In progress
Annual independent audit covering security, availability, and confidentiality. Report under NDA.
Driver privacy
Parents message drivers without ever seeing a phone number or address.
Data residency
US-region only. Encrypted in transit and at rest. No third-party ad SDKs.
Right to deletion
Schools own the data. Export and purge on demand, district-wide.
06 — Get started
We’re onboarding schools for the 2026–27 year now. A 20-minute call is enough to know if NextStop fits your district.
